When you call your insurance company, be sure to ask whether your specific plan includes reimbursement for habilitative speech-language pathology and/or occupational therapy services. Simply asking, "Do you cover speech therapy?" or "Do you cover occupational therapy?" may not provide the complete picture. Asking specifically about habilitative reimbursement will help you better understand your benefits and reduce the likelihood of unexpected expenses.
